School Parking & Driving Permits

  • STUDENT PARKING OPTIONS

    There are options for students wishing to park vehicles at the school during the school day/year and all are required to register and obtain a parking permit and vehicle tag. 

    • Located in the main parking lots adjacent to the high school.
    • No parking in the visitor lot.

    *Permit tags will be distributed to students during the Open House day on Tuesday, August 20 and the first week of school.

     

    Make sure you have added your vehicle information to receive a parking tag.  CLICK  HERE to sign up for your vehicle if you didn't do it when you registered for the new school year.

     

    SCHOOL DRIVING PERMITS

    Eligibility requirements for a school driving permit: The student must have an instruction permit for at least six months, must complete an Iowa-approved driver education course, and must have a clean driving record for at least six consecutive months immediately before applying for the school permit and live one mile or more from school, unless the school board determines a special need exists (extra-curricular activities, etc.).

    *To schedule a time and apply for a school permit, please contact Kristy Lorber (lorberk@bfschools.org) in the HS office. Students must bring the following:

    1. Parent/Guardian
    2. Completed and signed DOT Affidavit for Minor School License
