SENIORS: FAFSA is NOW open as of October 1!
Step 1: ONE parent/legal guardian and the senior needs to set up an FSAID. This needs to be done BEFORE you apply to fafsa.ed.gov. The Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) becomes your legal signature when filling out FAFSA.
TRIPLE CHECK SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS entered when setting up your accounts.
Student and parent/legal guardian each need to request an FSAID LINK HERE. (Students should use a personal email that they will always have access to.)
Step 2: The FAFSA form will be completed using the 2021 taxes. The FAFSA form can be filled out at THIS LINK.
Step 3: Towards the end of your FAFSA it will ask if you want to apply for State of Iowa Aid (If attending an Iowa college) click yes.
